| Hello. My name is Cholmondeley. The future. You’ve often wondered about it but it’s jolly difficult to know what it is going to be.For example, I am sitting here talking to you, and at any moment, a large bird could fall out of the sky and drop on my head. But of course that cannot happen since I am in a studio and there are no large birds flying around. Television. That would be the future. They said it would change our lives through the years. And it has. Yes, they said that television would be a force for democracy. From the simple black and white anode tube…to colour television and even Wide Screen Home Cinema.And indeed television has done it’s job remarkably well. Now we are all the same. Now we all take part in that great democratic pastime. Slumped on the settee, in front of the “telly”. But now, with the new MHP Interactive Digital set top boxes and television sets, we have again reached a turning point in the history of the televisual experience.
